Planned salary is not showing for approval

A salary line is displayed in an employee's record with a planned status, no salary is being generated, and there's no salary present for approval.

When a planned salary appears against an employee record, this isn't a true salary that applies to them.

On creating a post, HR can enter an indicative salary that should apply to the post, this is the planned salary. When you appoint a new starter to a post, you'll still need to enter a salary for the employee. If that's not done, the system will show any planned salary that's been entered in its place.

πŸ“ŒNote: Valid statuses for a true salary line against an employee are as follows.

  • Pending – The salary hasn't been approved at any level.

  • In Approval – The salary's been partially approved but not by all approvers.

  • Approved – The salary's fully approved by all approvers.

  • Future – As approved, but the effective date's greater than today.

  • Rejected – The salary's been rejected and won't be paid.
