Implement a career break in a post management environment

Steps should to be taken to put an employee on / take off a career break in a post management site.

Employee is going on a career break

  1. End current appointment.

  2. Plan appointment against Career Break bucket post.

  3. Appoint employee to Career Break bucket post (with Planned Pay Details Not Required ticked).

  4. Do Not commence.

Employee is returning from a career break

  1. End career break appointment.

  2. Plan appointment against new or existing post (pay details to be entered).

  3. Follow the rehire process, click CorePersonnel, Personal Profile, New Appointments.

  4. Select post.

  5. Search for employee, status is rehire and select.

  6. Update personal details, if required.

  7. Populate appointment details hours, FTE etc.

  8. Verify pay details are correct.

  9. If required, enter increment due date.

  10. Salary approved by HR and Payroll.
