If you are approving salary from back-office you would need SLUSER setup on below screen.
In CorePersonnel, click on Maintenance.
Click on Personal Profile.
Query the employee number who would approve the salary.
In the select details box, click on Contacts.
Add the SLUSER and add the back office username of the approver, then click save.
