Error - 'An unknown error has occurred' on the contracts screen

A user cannot view an employee's contracts on the People Management dashboard, and the message 'An unknown error has occurred' appears.

This error occurs when the user's security account does not correctly reference their personnel number across all associated background tables. To rectify this, follow the steps below.

  1. From the dashboard menu, search and select Security.

  2. Click User Management, then locate the user in Search users.

    πŸ€“Tip: You can search by name, personnel number or username.

  3. Click the user's three-dot menu, then click Manage Account.

  4. Click ACTIONS, then select Link to HR Person.

  5. Under HR Person Link, locate the user by name or personnel number, then click OK.

  6. If the system advises that a link already exists, click YES.
