Reuse the employee number from a deleted personnel profile

Assign to a new starter an employee number that was previously used by a deleted employee record.

A personnel number previously assigned to a deleted employee record can be reused, subject to the configuration rules in place. Review our detailed guidance first, then follow the steps below.

  1. From the dashboard menu, search for and select Data Centre.

  2. Next to HR Admin Setup Settings, click OPEN, then click Personnel Numbering Maintenance.

  3. Next to Default Manual, enable Active.

    πŸ“ŒNote: This is normally enabled by default. If changes are necessary, we recommend trialling them in UAT first.

  4. Click Save, then click OK.

Once the Default Manual option is active, you can enter a specific personnel number when creating an employee via the new starter wizard.
