Set up the generation of personnel numbers

Configure the system to manage the creation or entry of employee numbers for new starters, and define rules for automatic number generation.

To help you configure personnel number generation, watch the video or follow the steps below.


Define personnel number generation rules

  1. From the dashboard menu, search for and select Data Centre.

  2. Next to HR Admin Setup Settings, click OPEN.

  3. Click Personnel Numbering Maintenance to review the current rules.

  4. Click into the relevant fields and update the details.

    ⚠️Important: Do not amend the Personnel No Type, Generation Type, and Generation Routine fields.

  5. Click Active to enable or disable the rule as required.

  6. Click Save, then click OK.


Set the system to default the automatic or manual routine

  1. From the dashboard menu, search for and select Data Centre.

  2. Next to HR Admin Setup Settings, click OPEN, then click System Parameters.

  3. Under Default Generate Personnel No Routine, select Default Manual or Default Automatic.

  4. Click Save, then click OK.
