New starter notification sent to the role's prior manager

A notification email for a new employee isn't sent to the current line manager but to a previous manager of that role.

EMS notifications are generated based on the reminder date rather than the event date. The manager notified will be the one in place on the reminder date. Review the event configuration to identify and update when the reminder falls.

  1. From the dashboard menu, in the search bar, enter and select Data Centre.

  2. Next to HR Admin Setup Settings, click OPEN, then click HR Event Configuration.

  3. Select Event Category, then click Edit from the three-dot menu against the required Event Type.

    πŸ€“Tip: New starter events are typically configured under category HR Event and type New Starter Notification.

  4. Under Event Notifications, note the values under No Of Days and Before/After for each notification.

    πŸ“ŒNote: Where a number of days and Before are specified, the reminder date is that number of days before the event.

  5. Click Edit from the three-dot menu against a notification to amend these settings.

  6. Enter a number of days in Generate Notification, then in Days select Before or After.

  7. Click Save, then click OK.
