The system prompts a post switch when deleting a contract for an employee with two active posts

Error message 'We can't delete this contract as an employee record requires at least one contract, would you like to switch post instead?'.

You're unable to delete a contract from an employee with multiple active posts if it's the substantive post you're attempting to delete. You'll need to make one of the other posts substantive first. Follow the steps below.

πŸ“ŒNote: If the employee is dormant, you won't be able to delete the contract or make any changes.

  1. Go to the People Management dashboard.

  2. Click View All on the Data Centre widget.

  3. Search for Substantive Maintenance.

  4. Query Personnel No then click Add and fill in the blanks to create a new substantive line.

  5. Click on 3 dots in the new line then Choose Appointment.

  6. Select the Appointment ID to be made substantive.

  7. Enter the Substantive Date then click Save.
