Portal: Amend appointment details of existing appointment

Updating details of the current contract without creating a new sequence. Change the post type of a commenced appointment. Update the employee status or sub status of the current appointment. Amend the cost centre, department etc. of the latest contract.

You can update details on the current contract without creating a new sequence. Follow the steps below.

  1. From the dashboard menu, click People Management.

  2. Under Command Centre, next to Employee, click VIEW.

  3. Search for the relevant employee, then click VIEW.

  4. Click Contracts, then click UPDATE.

    Tip: If the employee has multiple contracts, you need to select the relevant one from the drop-down menu.

  5. Under Organizational Structure, update values as required, click NEXT.

    Note: You can only update the structure where it's not preset by the post profile.

  6. Under Contract Information, enter an Effective Date matching the start date of the appointment sequence.

  7. Update the contract information properties where needed, then click SAVE.
