Total Length of Service

This is a standard CorePersonnel field used to show the Total Length of Service of employees main appointment history.
It is calculated as the length of each post from the Date Started until now. If the Date Started is set to 1990 but there are no posts commenced until 2006 then it will only calculate from 2006 until present day (For example Year 2014: Total Length of Service = 8 Years). If any posts are overlapping (which they should not), then you end up getting duplication in dates.

This is a standard CorePersonnel field used to show the length of service.
It is a simpler calculation which counts from the Latest Start Date to now and doesn't take into account what posts you are in or not. It counts the years from latest start date to present.
