How to enable Known As to be used as Forename

Is there a way the 'known as' name can show on the system for users whose legal name is different than their used name.

There is a Portal Parameter cp_knownas_description that controls if 'Known As' column is used in place of employees Forename column.

Please set it to Y and test in UAT.

Steps:

  1. Portal

  2. Go to Administrator Dashboard

  3. Admin Tools

  4. Within Site Manager Open Admin Settings

  5. Search for cp_knownas_description

  6. Edit, Set to Y

As of this patch 28.0.122 it is now possible to use and search for employees based on their "Known as" name.

This new option can be enabled via a parameter within the administrator dashboard. Please follow the below instructions to find this parameter.

  1. Got the administrator dashboard

  2. Find Site manager widget

  3. Select admin settings

  4. Search for "cp_hradmin_knownas"

  5. Click edit

  6. Set the parameter to Y

  7. Click Save
