Back Office: Replace an existing appointment

In CorePersonnel, how to replace an existing appointment for an employee.

To replace an existing appointment for an employee, follow the steps below.

  1. Click CorePersonnel, Maintenance, Personal Profile.

  2. Click New Appointments.

  3. Click the Posts tab.

  4. On the New Appointments pop up screen, query for an Authorised Post Appointment and click Select.

  5. Search for existing Employee.

    Employee should appear in the results panel with a status of New Appointment.

  6. For the employee chosen, click Select.

    The Appoint Existing Person screen will pop up.

  7. To replace the appointment, select the Replace an Existing Appointment option.

  8. For the appointment to be replaced, select the Select Appointment indicator check box.

  9. Use the Replacement Type drop-down and select Appoint Person.

  10. Click OK.

    πŸ“ŒNote: There is no requirement to capture Transfer Details when replacing an appointment in this scenario.

  11. Complete the 2 Step Wizard for the employee's Appointment and Salary Details.

  12. On the Appointment Details page, ensure the Appointment is highlighted.

  13. Click Appointment Details.

  14. Type the Commenced Date.

  15. Click Save changes. The new Post Appointment should display on the Appointments list.

  16. The Substantive Date for the new Post Appointment should not be populated.

  17. The Substantive Date is now populated for the earlier existing Post Appointment with the Start Date of the replacement Post Appointment.

  18. If used, continue through Salary Approval process.
