Steps to make an employee's appointment their substantive appointment.

Employees can hold multiple appointments, such as temporary roles, secondments, or acting positions, alongside their main role.

The substantive appointment represents the employee's primary, ongoing position within the organisation. You can update an employee's record to reflect their substantive appointment using the following steps.

  1. Click CorePersonnel, then click Maintenance.

  2. Click Post Management, then click Substantive Maintenance.

  3. Search for the relevant employee, then enter the start date.

  4. Click the query icon, then select the relevant appointment ID.

  5. Click the save icon.
