The resolution depends on whether the employee has been taken into CorePay with the incorrect Pay Group or is only in CoerPersonnel with the incorrect Pay Group.
The employee is taken on to CorePay in the incorrect Pay Group
Update the employee's correct pay group in CorePay using the Amend Employee Pay Group screen.
The next steps requires Support to run some scripts on the database. Therefore please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article and ask that the Period Last Processed is cleared.
Re-run the Generate Salaries and Allowances job for the pay group.
The employee has the incorrect Pay Group only in CorePersonnel
If the incorrect pay group is noticed before they are taken on to CorePay.
Click CorePersonnel, Maintenance, Salary Administration.
Retrieve the employee.
Under View Options, click Amend Pay Group.
The Current Pay Group is displayed.
Populate New Pay Group.
Click Save.
You can also amend the pay group in the portal.
πNote: If the employee is set up in CorePay when you select Amend Pay Group, a message is displayed 'The employee is active on payroll. Please use the payroll option if you wish to change the employee's pay group' and the user is prevented from making the change in CorePersonnel.
