If you wish to rejoin a leaver and the rehire option is not present under ACTIONS when viewing their employee record, it's possibly as a result of one of the following scenarios.
Payroll processed in final run mode
The last time payroll was run for the employee's pay group, the Final Generate was enabled when generating salaries and allowances. To resolve this, liaise with your internal payroll team and follow the steps below.
β οΈWarning: If processing is too advanced to roll back, the rehire cannot be made in this pay period.
Roll back processes and disable the final generate mode.
Process the rehire, then re-enable the final generate mode.
Resume normal payroll processing.
Employee status not set as Leaver
If the final run is not enabled in payroll, ensure that the employee status is set to LE - Leaver. Follow the steps below.
Click Command Centre, then, next to Employees, click VIEW.
Search for and view the employee.
Select the Contracts tab.
Select Update on the appointment.
On the contract details check the employee status field.
If it is not set to Leaver update it here and Save.
