Changing a portal account username

Assign an employee's account to a new username if their personal details change or the current one doesn't link to their staff record.

If you need to amend the portal account username for an employee, follow the steps below.

πŸ“ŒNote: You will not be able to delete the old username.

  1. Log into Portal.

  2. Go to the Security area, then click User Management.

  3. Create a new Portal account by clicking on the Create New User button on the System Users widget.

  4. Select Portal for User Type and then enter the Username and a temporary Password. This will create the Portal Username/Account.

  5. Link the new Portal account to the correct person. This will in turn remove their access to the old account with the incorrect username and all data such as Payslips and Annual Leave linked to this account.

  6. To do the above find the newly created username on the System Users widget, click the ellipsis, three dots icon, and select Manage Account.

  7. On the next screen click Link to HR Person, find the employee, and click OK.

  8. Ask the user to now try to login to Portal with their new username and temporary password you have set earlier.
