Rules for deleting appointments

When trying to delete an appointment, the system produces an error.

Whilst the system includes functionality to delete appointments, it will prevent their removal if it has a detrimental impact elsewhere.

Posts that can be deleted

  • A primary ended post where the appointment isn't the first sequence in the post. I.e., the appointment ID varies from post number, hyphen, and post sequence as demonstrated below.

    • Post number = 001234.

    • Post sequence = 2.

    • Appointment ID = 001234-1.

    • Appointment status = EN.

  • A primary confirmed future post.

  • A secondary appointed post.

  • A secondary ended post that follows the primary ended appointment ID conditions.

  • A secondary confirmed future post.


Posts that can't be deleted

  • Any commenced post.

  • A primary appointed post.

  • A primary or secondary ended post where the appointment is the first, or only, sequence of the post. The scenario below clarifies.

    • Post number = 000123.

    • Post sequence = 1.

    • Appointment ID = 000123-1.

    • Appointment status = EN.
