Your non-production environments, for example User Acceptance Testing (UAT), are typically configured to send emails to a test queue based on the Test Run setting being enabled. You can temporarily disable this setting, whilst testing, to validate email-based processes against real recipients.
β οΈ Important: Make sure you re-enable Test Run after testing to prevent unintended email delivery.
Turn off test run mode
To allow emails to reach real inboxes, turn off the Test Run toggle.
From the dashboard menu, search and select Data Centre.
Click View All, then click EMS Parameter Maintenance.
Turn off the Test Run toggle.
Once you turn off this setting, the system sends emails to configured recipients.
Check emails in the queue
When you turn off Test Run, the system begins processing emails already in the queue.
The system processes the most recent emails first.
The number of emails processed depends on client configuration.
To view the email queue:
From the dashboard menu, search and select Data Centre.
Click View All, then click View Email Queue.
Review this screen to check which emails are waiting, processing, or sent.
Trigger a test email
Trigger an action in the system to generate a test email.
Ensure the Test Run toggle is off.
Trigger an email, for example by uploading an employee document.
Open View Email Queue.
Check that the email:
Appears in the queue.
Processes successfully.
Arrives in the correct inbox.
Turn test run mode back on
After testing, turn Test Run back on to stop further emails from reaching real inboxes.
From the dashboard menu, search and select Data Centre.
Click View All, then click EMS Parameter Maintenance.
Turn on the Test Run toggle.
