Assigning default menu profiles

Options available for allocating menu profiles to employees.

The Security Access screen include a list of roles and indicators. The purpose of these indicators is to provide a quick way for a user to identify the role that the employee has in the organisation and assign them to a default menu profile. These may be managed in a number of ways, some of them are as follows.

The Security Access screen includes a list of roles and indicators. These indicators help users quickly identify an employeeโ€™s role within the organisation and assign a default menu profile. You can manage these in several ways, including the following.

  • Directly assigning menu profiles to the employee's portal user account in PeopleXD Security.

  • Automatic assignment via Self Registration (Menu Profile Matrix Account Provisioning).

  • Assignment via the organisational role rules defined in the Menu Profile Matrix.

To complete these tasks, follow the steps below.


Manually assign a menu profile

  1. Go to Security, click User Management.

  2. Search for the employee that needs to be updated.

  3. Click the three-dot ellipsis on the account and select Manage Account.

  4. Click Menu Profiles.

  5. Activate any menu profiles that need to be added to the user's account.


Automatically assign via Self Registration

๐Ÿ“ŒNote: Menu Profile Matrix account provisioning can only be used where self-registration is enabled.

  1. Go to Security, click Self-Registration.

  2. Within the Self Registration Profiles widget, turn 'Off' the Status on Default.

  3. Click on the three-dot ellipsis, then click Edit.

  4. Go through the steps, on step 5 enable the Matrix Rules.

  5. Select the Default Menu Profile to assign to newly created accounts via self-registration.

  6. Click Next, then click Save.



Assign via the organisational role rules in the Menu Profile Matrix

  1. Go to People Management, click Data Centre.

  2. Next to HR Admin Setup Settings, click View All.

  3. Click Menu Profile Matrix, then click Add.

  4. Configure by using the dropdown options.

  5. Click Ok, then click Save.
