The Oracle Forms version used by the PeopleXD back office forms application is being upgraded from 12.2.1.4 to 12.2.1.19. This explains what is changing, when it is happening, and what to do if you experience any issues after the upgrade.
What is changing
The associated jar files within the PeopleXD back office forms application are being re-signed with the higher version.
Upgrade dates
Date of UAT upgrade: Complete.
Date of Production upgrade: 17 May 2026 at 8pm.
Why this is happening
The current version of Oracle Forms is becoming end of life and will no longer be supported by Oracle.
Impact of these changes
We expect no impact to users who currently run the PeopleXD back office forms application. The updated jar files download in the background on first run and no action is required.
If you experience issues running the back office forms application after the upgrade, follow these steps:
Ensure you are using a supported version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) V8u211 or higher.
Clear your Java cache by following these steps on the Java help website.
Ensure you have administrator privileges on your machine when running the application, at least for the first use.
If you still experience issues after completing the steps above, ask to speak with a human agent through the Access Digital Assistant for further assistance.
