An attempt to login to the PeopleXD back office fails with an 'ORA-12154: TNS could not resolve the connect identifier specified' message. Possible causes for this error are outlined below.

  • An incorrect URL has been specified.

  • The database identifier supplied is incorrect.

  • The user's updated their PC or browser, and the URL isn't on the trusted site list.

  • The URL hasn't been whitelisted by the customer's IT team.

  • The user's password contains an @ or a / symbol.
