Org role delegation is available to managers, to allow them to delegate their org role responsibilities to another manager, to cover periods where they are unavailable e.g. during leave.
β
This allows the manager to redirect approval items to their colleagues, without the need for HR to intervene. The manager can control the following.
Which of their org roles will be delegated.
Who they will be delegated to.
How long they will be delegated for.
Why they are to be delegated.
HR can control what org roles can be delegated e.g. it may be suitable to delegate annual leave approvals but not salary approvals.
β
Delegation is not a suitable solution where the manager is leaving their role e.g.
They are moving role within the company and will no longer be responsible for these approvals.
They are leaving the company.
