Make a post dormant or active

You can make a post dormant if its no longer needed or reactivate a post that has been set dormant previously

Posts can be suppressed or made dormant if they are no longer needed. This can be carried out when all appointments have ended and employees have moved to alternate Posts.

πŸ“ŒNote: There cannot be any commenced appointments if you're making the post dormant, i.e. the Active FTE must be zero.

Portal guidance

  1. Go to Data Centre, View All, Post Profile Maintenance.

  2. Choose a Post that needs to be made Dormant/Re-activated.

  3. Select Make Post Dormant/Re-activate from Actions in the top right.

  4. Enter in Effective Date.

  5. OK, Save.


Back office guidance

  1. In CorePersonnel go to Maintenance, Post Management, Post Profile Maintenance.

  2. Search the post number.

  3. Select Make Dormant/Reactivate from select details in the top right.

  4. Enter in Effective date and click OK.
