It is NOT suggested that this email address be changed in most cases due to the increase chances of a bounce back. This will in turn cause problems notifying the employees or staff that need those notifications for approvals etc.
For event notifications you can use [email protected] but this can still cause bounce backs. It is suggested to change this in UAT always first and if it causes any bounce backs at all, no matter the number, you should change it back.
It should also be possible to get around the above issues by adding SPF records for the BT mail relay IPs if there is a wish to use another email address than [email protected]
